Hi folks ! Anybody who can tell me what is the ratio of the speedo ? (I am changing to another speedo, on the handlebar, and need to know).Albert told us earlier how to find out (look at previous posting "Speaking German...") The only trouble is, that in order to get the wire spinning round, you have to put in a gear and turn the backwheel around (since the speedowire comes from the gearbox, not the front wheel). Have anyone of you tried to turn the backwheel around in 4th gear (10 times)with one hand and keep the bike upright with the other while keeping one eye at the tape on the speedowire and one eye at the tape on the backwheel? (Had some planks stuck under the machine to get it up from ground). It would have been something for the "hidden camera" or whatever the name is for that funny tv-program....
Anyway, my Clymer manual says nothing about the ratio of the speedo. HELP !!
